Hi I'm Bridgette

I am a dancer, a pianist, an artist, and a Mormon

About Me

I am a Ballroom dancer. I live and breat dance. I am also a song writer. I have only writen two songs but I hope to write many more. I play the piano and sing a little. I also love to draw. I have about 6 sketchbooks full of many people, faces and ideas. I love the outdoors. It is a place that I can have peace and think about my heavenly father as well as have a lot of fun and little adventurs of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I have been taught by my parents about Christ our savior, Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon, and I have prayed about all of them. I felt in my heart that what I had been taught was true. More then that when I lived what I was taught I felt the lord in my life more. In contrast when I would turn away from what I found to be true I felt the lord withdraw from my life. Someone once told me "experence is the greatest teacher." Through my experiences I have learned for my self that this church is true. I know that my savior lives and loves me. I know that Joseph Smith was a prohpet like moses, and I know that the Book of Mormon like the Bible is true.

How I live my faith

My faith is my life. I use our 13th article of faith as a guid line for me to follow. "we believe that if there is anything virtuos, lovely, praise worthy or of good report we seek after these things." Even though I am a ballroom dancer I still try very hard to keep a clean modest apperence in my cloths and dancing. I try to only listen to music that is up lifting, not digrading. I try and apply this to all aspects of my life. When I speak I try and uplife others not degread or put them down. I always try to remember that in all times and in all things and in all places that I am a daughter of God and that everyone I meet are his children, and my brothers and sisters.

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Our church services are for anyone that would like to attend. Durning our services we sing hymns, listen to members of our congregation speak to us about christ and his teachings, and partake of the bread and water to remember christ and the promises that we made when we were baptized. Everyone no matter who they are are welcome and encouraged to join us. The Temple is a very sacred place. We believe that it is a place that God can litteraly dwell on earth. Because it is the lords house only those that are living high standards and are keeping his commandments can enter. In the Temple we learn more about God and his plan for us. We also do sacred ordinances that are nessasary for eternal life. As members of the church we try and help everyone on the earth to get to go to the temple. For me it is a place that I can go and meditate and feel Gods love for all of his children. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

We can increase our faith in christ by reading what he taught, and trying to live by it. When we live by his teachings we can feel the spirit, or the lord in our life more and this increases our faith. When study and prayer are coupled with action, your faith will grow. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

The missionaries will listen to you and answer questions that you have about our faith. They are called by a prophet of God to share what they know is true. They share their testimonies of Christ, of his plan for us to live with him and our Heavenly Father and our families and in the life here after. They will also share why we believe in a living prophet today, and what the Book of Mormon is. They will also always invite you to pray about what they teach to know if it is true. They want you to ask God through prayer any questions you might have. Show more Show less
