Hi I'm Michael Brown

I love the outdoors.I love being a missionary. I'm me and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

So I'm originally from Logan, Utah but my family has moved quite a bit. I've only lived in 3 states, Utah, Illinois, and Hawaii, but within those 3 states I've moved about 13 times. Right now though I am serving a mission in Texas. It's called the Texas San Antonio mission or TSAM for short. I love the outdoors. I love snowboarding, hiking, climbing (trees, light poles, ext.), biking, flying, swiming, playing and watching football, playing soccer, I pretty much love doing anything outside or anything that is Adventurous. I am an Ultimate Frisbee Fanatic. I am going to go to College up at BYU-Idaho and planning on doing a double major in Graphic Design and Mechanical Engineering. I'm not very good and English, spelling is my worst subject by far, so it's a good thing for spell check. With my best friend I'm going to start T-shirt business, ski/snowboard company, a sport shop, video/photo studio and do something with radio. I love playing and doing things with my friends. I love looking and seeing the latest and greatest things in the snowboard world. I wouldn't call myself a photographer but I love taking pictures. I love my family, they are everything to me. I am the oldest of 5, 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters. We like to go on trips as a family, especially camping. Our favorite spot to go is Lake Powell. We try and get a long but we're not perfect. My parents are the best, as everyone's are, but I know mine are the Worlds Greatest Parents. They are so awesome. I love them.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I had to find out for myself that it was true. I am Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that it is true because the of the feelings that I have gotten from the Holy Ghost and because of the things that I've gone through in life. My faith has strengthened me through my hard times. The person that I am now is because of the things that I was taught, because of the things that I learned. The experiences that I've had in my life have helped me gain a testimony of God. I especially have a testimony of Trials, which might sound weird but I am grateful for trials. They Help me learn from my mistakes and grow closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that The Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith is a true prophet. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redemeer of the world. I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is a real thing. I am so grateful for it and I know that through Christ I can be forgiven of all my sins. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I know and am very grateful for the Restoration and that it truly did happen. I know that Joseph Smith truly did see God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I know that as I keep his commandments that I will be blessed and recieve joy. I know that God does answer our prayers. He has always answered my prayers and I know that he will answer yours too. This Testimony, is what has shaped me and what will continue to shape me into the person that I want to become... a worthy son of our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I try my best to keep Gods commandments and that's all that he asks of us. I strive to choose the right each day. I show God my love for Him by serving others. Service is truly one of my greatest joys in life. I love Serving people. I am so fortunate to be a Missionary at this time in my life because I get to serve people each and everyday. Serving people, helps me relieve stress, gives me the strength to go on in life and I gain a greater appreciation for the things that I have. I see my faith grow day after day, as long as I am keeping Gods commandments. I try and show my faith by being an example to those around me. I make mistakes everyday, but I know that as I do my best to keep Gods commandments and repent, by asking God for forgiveness, I will be given strength to overcome the obstacles that we are all faced with and I know that I will grow stronger from them. I show my faith in my everyday routine. By reading my scriptures, I have noticed a stronger desire to live my daily routine better and I have been much happier and had a lot more peace. I've been comforted to know that God will always be there and stay the same even in a world that is constantly changing and unfortunately for the worst. I'm not perfect but that's what the Atonement is for. The Atonement puts a smile on my face because I become stronger from it everyday.
