Hi I'm Megan

I'm a mom to the 3 greatest kids ever. I'm a graduate student in Special Education and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Since graduating from college, I've become a mother to 3 fantastic kids. While some days leave me completely frazzled, there is nothing greater than watching my children progress socially, academically, and spiritually. I love seeing life through the eyes of my children. Because of them, I too love Thomas the Tank Engine, Little House on the Prarie books, Legos, and building time machines out of boxes. In my spare time I enjoy Colorado clouds and sunsets, reading, hiking, skiing, digging in the dirt while attempting to grow flowers, and taking pictures. I decided to return to college a persue a graduate degree in Special Education because I want to help all of Heavenly Father's children reach their full potential. Volunteering in a Special Education classroom has brought me so much joy as I've watched children feel the personal satisfaction that comes with accomplishing difficult tasks. I know our Heavenly Father does intend for us to develop our talents in such a way that we can bless our own families and those of His children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. As a teenager, I attended a few different churches. My sister had been baptized into the LDS (Mormon) church a few years earlier, and it was through her example that I was drawn to the teachings of the Mormon faith. She persevered through trials with great faith and courage and I was impressed by her ability to hold fast to her beliefs. I know my decision to be baptized caused some of my family members to feel angry and hurt, but through time, they have come to have more respect for my beliefs. In these times of declining morality, I am grateful to be able to raise my children with the faith and knowledge that Jesus Christ is their Savior. Through Him, they can overcome any challenges they will face in life. I know myself that He can and will help us through difficult times. Honestly, I can't even imagine how my life would be without this knowledge!

How I live my faith

Every week I have the opportunity to work the youth in my church. They truly are some of the most amazing people I have ever met and while I am the one supposed to be teaching them, I've learned more from their strength and example than they have from me. Through the service opportunities I've had a church, I've felt a portion of the love that our Heavenly Father and Savior have for each one of us. I do love the youth that I've worked with and want nothing more than for them to be happy and have success in life. It is an amazing opportunity to guide, teach and counsel the young people of this church. Because of them, I have great hope for the future!
