Hi I'm Roger

"I'm the father of 7 and husband of 1, which takes all my time and money. I wouldn't want it any other way and I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I grew up on our family farm, haying ,dairying, working hard. I was surrounded by family, parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, and cousins, which made lots of love and fun. I was taught right from wrong by word and deed. So I wanted that for my family. My father and brothers and I farmed together till we lost part of the farm. Dad said "You better find a job that pays.". So I ended up as a maintenance man at our local Hospital. It's different but nice. Life is busy with a family of 9. Sometimes it feels like a tag team, I get home and my wife is heading off taking kid to activities or teach a night class at the college, or my wife is dropping off the kids for practice which I'm usually coaching. Life is always changing, my oldest is headed off to college and my youngest is out of diapers. Life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon, but that not why I'm a Mormon. I'm a Mormon because it helps me to belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in every way. Being a Mormon is believing and following our savior Jesus Christ. I have found that by following Jesus Christ is the only way to find peace, happiness and joy in this life. I have found peace to my soul. I have found happiness in my family. I have found direction in my life. This is why I'm a Mormon. This didn't come all at once, it came little by little. I always believed, but that wasn't enough. I my faith grew as I live the word of God and his servants. It takes constant effort.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by first trying to keep close to my God. The way I do that is by reading my scriptures and praying. This helps me to remember that there is more to life than the day to day routine of work and life. My family is everything. I have great hope and joy for my family because of my faith. As I try to teach my family, I know the teachings and standards of the church will help my children in these crazy days we live in. We live in such a evil times, anything goes in todays world. My children can be exposed to anything and everything at a younger and younger age. I don't know how I could raise my children in this world without the Church of Jesus Christ to help and guide me. So, that's why I try to share my faith with others, so they can have these blessing to bless their lives and the lives of their families.
