Hi I'm Brian Allison

I was born in Boise,ID, adopted and raised in Idaho Falls, ID. I grew up Methodist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Boise, ID, adopted and raised in Idaho falls, ID. I grew up Methodist, then turned atheist, then became a convert to the church in 2000. People like to call me a jack of all trades. I have a computer business, a photography business, and I am also a carpenter. I am a husband and father of four wonderful children.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up through my teens, I became an atheist. I just really didn't see the point of religion and did not, could not believe that there was a God. I felt like that someone a long, long time ago, wrote the bible as a story, something to give people hope and something to believe in. Then in 1999 my grandpa died. I was not really close to him, but went to his funeral. After attending the funeral, on a cold December night, I wondered outside to go for a walk. I looked up at the clear sky, lit up by all of the stars, and all of a sudden a though came to me. What happens when you die? Is there really an after life? Could God really exist? Well at the end of January, I was at my girlfriends house, who was a member, and the phone rang, it was for me. It was the stake missionary president. My girlfriend, at the time, had a friend on a mission in Arizona, he knew me from before he left, and he had asked the stake missionary president to call and see if I would like to take the discussions. I did not hesitate. I said sure I would be glad to take the discussions. I took the missionary discussions, starting in February and in April was baptized and confirmed a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I like to tell people this. That "Straight and Narrow Path," for me split and was divided by a river and I was on the wrong side, until my, now wife, then girlfriend, came along and laid a log across that river for me to cross and get back on that "Straight and Narrow Path." I truly believe without a shadow of doubt, that our heavenly father exists and that the Book of Mormon is true. that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that President Thomas S. Monson is our true prophet today!

How I live my faith

I tell people all of the time my story of how I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
