Hi I'm Aubrey

I love to create music beauty and love. I married the love of my life. I adore my children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing the piano and singing at the top of my lungs. I teach piano lessons. I studied Math Education and love discussing the best way to teach kids. I love taking pictures of my kids. I thrive on making things more beautiful than I found them. I love to cook dinner and truly feel it's the most important time of the day to connect with my family and it's even better when it tastes good. I stay home with my 4 year old girl and 17 month old boy and I am constantly striving to teach them to be honest and honorable. I love supporting my husband through this never-ending dental education venture. I love reading. My favorites include The Hood series, the Book Thief, and the Mistborn trilogy. I like to sew although I'm not very good at it and I love to make something from nothing. I love to repurpose everything. I'm married to the love of my life. He completes me. He makes me laugh and makes me a better me. Life is challenging but very fulfilling and rewarding.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it gives meaning to my life. The love of my life can now be the love of my eternal life. When I was first married to my love, I was unsure of my ability to concieve and bear children. I remember getting on my knees with questions of Why me? What did i do to deserve this? I was so mad at God. I was so sure He wasn't listening. Month after month of no answers and no conclusions left me at the bottom of a dark pit that I thought I'd never crawl out of. I told my Father in Heaven that I needed help more than ever. I didn't know it at the time but He was closer than He'd ever been to me. Because of this experience, I know I can have a personal relationship with my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I coordinate the music for our weekly sabbath day meetings. My goal is to uplift and touch others through song. I've found that I am often the one strengthened in my dedication and service to those in our meetings. I feel of Heavenly Father's personal relationship with me regularly in my efforts to touch everyone present.
