Hi I'm Max

I grew up during the Second World War in Germany. I have been married 57 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I came from Germany to Australia in 1956. We both suffered many terrible things during the second World War. I was then a Sailor and travelled the world for 6 years, during which time I met and married my wife Rosemarie. We have now been married 56 years and have three children, thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I was married for my wife for many years before joining the church. I had a special experience which enabled me to give up smoking and drinking in one day. I have never looked back and we have both been fully active members for 51 years. We are so grateful and cannot imagine our lives without the gospel now. We are infinitely happier now and have found the strength to endure the challenges of life by living by the principles of the gospel. We love to serve God anyway possible. The gospel is very important and true. I am grateful to know that when my wife or I pass on, that we do not need to say goodbye, only 'see you soon'.

How I live my faith

Because we have know the gospel is true, and through all the happiness it has brought to us, we naturally live it everyday. We do not live our religion just on Sundays. We are better people, and look to help others around us. We try to share the gospel with other people, because we know what great happiness it can bring. We invite all who read this to investigate the true Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
