Hi I'm Josh

I'm a husband, father of one, and soon to be two boys. I'm a financial advising, softball playing, wake shredding Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to the love of my life, for almost five years. We have a three and a half year old son, and are expecting our second son in early October 2011. I am a financial advisor specializing in safe money and retirement income planning. My clients love and rave about my services because I truly do just that, I serve them by putting their needs first before mine. I love playing sports and being outside. I play softball on a local city team and love to wakeboard.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the great privilege of being born into the church and am a third generation Latter-day Saint, so my membership in the church came a little bit easier than others. That being said, there has never been a doubt about the truthfulness of the gospel. I know that God lives and that through His son, Jesus Christ, the gospel was brought to this earth. It is through the gospel and atonement of Jesus Christ that we are made whole and free from sin. I know that families can be together forever in and through the gospel. The church is all about hope, and I wouldn't have any hope if I couldn't be with my family forever. I know that Joseph Smith was chosen to bring about the restoration of the gospel and that he was a prophet of God. I know that we are led by modern day revelation by a prophet that speaks with God. That prophet is President Thomas S. Monson. With all that being said, the church is such a wonderful light in my life and in the life of my family. Without it we couldn't return to live to our Heavenly Father again someday.

How I live my faith

Most think the Latter-day Saint lifestyle is very strict and restraining. That sentiment couldn't be further from the truth. Living the gospel standards, which are standards of high moral character, provides a comfort and peace of mind that cannot be obtained in many other places. I am happier when I obey the commandments that God has set forth. Being obedient helps me to know that when I do what I'm asked I will be blessed. Living the gospel also provides an extremely solid foundation in raising my family which will help them to develop the desire to live the gospel on their own.
