Hi I'm Drew

I live in Arizona were I have spent most of my life. I love my family and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I work in the IT field at a state university. I like to work with computers and the people that use them. I enjoy the mix of technical work and social interaction with others. If I can help someone use their computer well then I call it a good day. I also like to work as a handyman at home. My home renovation projects take several months longer than expected but I enjoy doing them. I am a parent of 4 and have been married for 12 years. My kids are still young but are growing fast. My family is wonderful and the reason it is wonderful is because of my fantastic wife. She takes care of all of us. I am also in grad school and I hope to finish my education in the next year. Working a full time job, raising a family, and going to grad school all at the same time is a real challenge but I wouldn't want anything to be different.

Why I am a Mormon

There is a solid foundation in a religion that is faith based as well as logical. Things can make sense, and they can require faith. These are not exclusive positions when you have the guidance the Lord can give you. I don't claim to understand everything, but I do see room for reason in this strange and sometimes difficult world. I also see room for that leap of faith which allows us to show where our convictions are. I am a member of this church because it is lead by a living prophet today, just like in biblical times. I am a member of the Mormon church because God continues to teach us, his children, and has not gone silent. The fact that there are more things to learn about God and heaven is clear to all of mankind. Many truths can be learned through the Book of Mormon and ongoing revelation through a living prophet. I am a Mormon because I want those truths in my life. I am a Mormon because I have felt the presence of God and his influence in my very soul.

How I live my faith

I live my faith with every choice I make. The small ones like getting out of bed to face another day and the big ones like raising children and trying to teach them well. I try to live a Christ like life in how I treat other people. I hope that people can see how happy I am and know that I am happy because of my faith. I am comfortable in my life now and I am excited for the future.
