Hi I'm Jenn

I was born and raised in Idaho. I come from a big family. I love music. I love being a mom! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a big family. I have 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and there are 45 grandkids on my dad's side of the family. Music was an important part of our lives growing up. I love singing with my sisters and playing the piano. I got married shortly after graduating from High School. I have 3 kids, all girls, ages 13, 11, and 6 months. I have recently decided to go back to school to get my education. I want to become a nurse. I love working with people, especially babies. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church and so was my dad. My mom was a convert. My dad's side of the family is all LDS, and my Mom's isn't, so I was able to see both sides of the aisle growing up. I love the church. There was never any doubt as to whether or not I would stay active in the church. To me it was a no brainer. I was never tempted to try alcohol or smoke cigarettes. I never understood why anyone would want to do those things to their bodies. Everything that the church teaches can only help to make you a better person. Following the word of wisdom can only make you healthier. Putting God first, Family second, and everything else third, can only help to strengthen families. Staying out of debt is a good thing. Paying tithing can only help teach us some self discipline, not to mention bless so many people. Saving yourself for marriage can only help ensure that babies are born to a complete family, the way our Heavenly Father intended. The church is so important to me. When I am doing the things that I'm supposed to, I am a much happier person. I love being LDS. I love having the knowledge that when we die, we will be able to be with our loved ones again. I love the challenge of doing what I am supposed to every day and making myself a better person. I love my Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the sacrifice that he made for me so that I can come unto Him and repent of my sins and be able to live with Him and my loved ones again.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy going to church every week. I am a very musical person. In the past, I have lead the children's singing time, and played the piano for the children, I have played the piano and lead music for the women's meetings. My current job at church though is my favorite of all. I get to go into the nursery and sing songs with the children who are 18 months to 3 years old. I love my calling. I get to sing fun songs, silly songs, and church songs. I get to teach these children a love for music and a love for their Heavenly Father. It has been so fun watching them go from not knowing who I am, to getting excited when I come in, to seeing me in the halls and waving to me. I also sing with the choir. I love being able to share my testimony through music. In my own little way, I feel like I am showing my appreciation to my Heavenly Father by singing for him. It is nice to be able to contribute to the spirit that is felt by those who are listening.
