Hi I'm Carl

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I am a husband and father. My wife and I have five wonderful sons. They have been a joy in our life. I am a bus driver for the local school district and enjoy driving students to and from school, although my favorite time on the bus is when I am heading home to the depot at the end of the day because I enjoy the view and quiet. I enjoy Family History and temple work and spending time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family and was raised in the Church. I have been blessed with two wonderful parents who love me and nurtured me in the gospel. With all the experiences that the Church has to offer I grew to gain a testimony of it on my own. I read the Book of Mormon, prayed to understand if it was a true book and translated by the Prophet Joseph Smith; which in do time I felt the spirit of the Holy Ghost bear witness to me of its validity. When i was young, my parents had a record of the account of the Prophet Joseph Smith from his first vision until his death. It captured and held my attention because of the overwhelming feeling I had while listening to it over and over again. Through that record and then later by reading of Joseph Smith's journal I came to know that he was indeed a prophet of God. This feeling I had was the Holy Ghost again teaching me the truth of the matter. The Holy Ghost has taught me many things over the years of my life and because of its influence I know that God lives, that he sent his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to be our Savior and our Redeemer, and that Jesus Christ and God the Father did indeed speak to a young boy named Joseph Smith Jr. and through him established His Church upon this earth in its fulness.

How I live my faith

I have the privilege of serving in my faith as the Family history consultant. This is a new calling for me and I have already experienced wonderful events during the service so far. I have been involved in the Boy Scouts of America over the years, first as a scout and later as a leader. Many wonderful blessings have come my way because of that service. For a brief time I was able to deliver Meals-On-Wheels to elderly people in an adjacent community and got to meet some nice people on that route. I would like to do it again some time.
