Hi I'm Dan

I love being a brother and uncle! I love to play ping-pong and have dance parties at the same time! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Dan! My goal in life is to love life! Life to me stinks when I look at things as destination points and road markers rather than a fun and sometimes crazy ride that I'm blessed enough to be on! I believe in hobbies that enrich and make life fun! I love playing tennis, having dance parties, ping pong, and doing other sports that involve being around other people who just want to have a fun time! I have this weird ability to draw fat animals...a talent that started while sitting through Church meetings growing up. Not that I didn't like Church, but I would draw while listening and try to make those around me smile. I strongly believe in work as a way to develop character and make life fulfilling. I'm a big fan of family! I love mine, and love it when I see others who love their families. Credit goes to God for who I am, but God used them to help me become who I am today. As far as life and Schooling goes, I'm working towards becoming a Physical Therapist, and I figure I'll start walking down that path and see where it takes me!

Why I am a Mormon

Being raised in the Church, I've never doubted. I'm a simple person, and have known in my mind and felt in my heart of it's goodness; a goodness so pure that I know it's from God! I've gone to Church since I was in diapers, and I thank God and my parents for that. I've always felt such a calm and warm assurance that it is right. I was raised in a home where God and His teachings were a regular discussion where we prayed often, and read from the scriptures. Often times I was a little reluctant in all things religious, but I couldn't deny the fruits of what I saw in the lives of those that lived the principles taught in the scriptures and at Church. My parents walked the walk, and I saw that. Thought I've done regrettable things that I know that I shouldn't have done, God was always there. He never moved. I did. During a more difficult time I felt this yearning to read the Book of Mormon. Consistently I read each day, and simply enough I felt great! I learned about the Savior and repentance, and it just spoke to me. It gave me comfort to make changes, and to come closer to God. I finally came to that last chapter of the Book. Before I started reading, I asked Father in Heaven to help me to know in a way that I could understand if this Book is true. As I read, I felt such an incredible love from my Father in Heaven that enveloped me. It was a powerful confirmation that what I was doing and where I was at were pleasing to God, and I've never looked back. The Book of Mormon did for me what it said it would. It has brought me to Christ. I just love my Father in Heaven. He is always there.

How I live my faith

I have served as a full time missionary, and what an incredible experience that was, and Father in Heaven really blessed me to be able to represent His Son Jesus Christ full time for those few years! I hope to always stand as a witness with how I live. I try to treat people the way that I would want to be treated. It's tough being far from perfect, but I'm working on it. I try not to judge quickly, and being a slightly sarcastic person and often times at other's expense...I'm a work in progress! I find going to Church each week has helped me to realign and put things in perspective. Church also gives me an opportunity to serve others in the congregation, and I try to be involved as much as I can. Personally I find that daily fervent prayer to Heavenly Father sure helps me a lot, and keeping in the Holy Scriptures daily has blessed me to get my much needed daily spiritual bread! Simply enough, I'm trying to be like Jesus!
