Hi I'm Craig

I'm a happily married father of five and an international attorney, and I am a member of the LDS Church.

About Me

I enjoy spending time and traveling with my family. As a family, we particularly enjoy going to Major League baseball games, and just last year, we finished our goal of attending games in all 30 MLB stadiums. I also enjoy camping in the red rocks country of Southern Utah and traveling in Europe and Asia with my wife. Learning about other cultures, their beliefs and histories, is also of great interest to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for my entire life. My great-great grandfather joined the LDS church after being taught by missionaries in his hometown in Wales, England. He immigrated to the United States, eventually to Utah, with his family, burying one family member at sea and his wife in Iowa. Other ancestors made similarly great scrifices to travel from Europe to the United States on account of their faith in Jesus Christ, beliefs in the teachings of His Gospel, and obedience to His prophets and other Church leaders. I have always had a testimony of and firm belief in God, the Father, and in his Son, Jesus Christ. I know that they appeared to Joseph Smith, whom they called and ordained as a latter-day prophet, with the same calling, authority and divine inspiration as Adam, Abraham, Moses, Elijah, and other prophets of old. The LDS Church continues to be led by Jesus Christ through his ordained living prophet, President Thomas Monson. When I was younger, I relied on the testimonies and faith of parents and other adults whom I respected, but over the years, I have come to know for myself, independent of anyone else, the truthfulness of these things. My testimony is a living, growing thing, being deepened and strengthened by a lifetime of mostly little events, some more significant, that each whisper to me the existence of a divine, omniscent and omnipotent God who has a hand in my life. The teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ has been of great value to me personally and to my family. They have been of particular import as my wife and I have raised our five children, who now range in ages from 10 to 20. Our children have been blessed through the Gospel to have a solid foundation in righteous living, a commitment to love and serve others, and a belief in the perspective and blessing of the eternities as they have grown up and lived "in the world."

How I live my faith

I believe that God watches over us and blesses us, but that he often does so through others. To me, an important aspect of living my faith is simply serving and being kind to others -- to try and lift others as the Savior taught us to do through the example of His mortal ministry. I particularly enjoying working with the youth, both of the Church and in the community. I was blessed by my associations with great adult leaders and parents when I was growing up. The youth are the future of the Church, society, and of the world -- and I want the best for them as I do for my own children.
