Hi I'm Katie

I'm a southern girl living in Arizona. I'm a wife, a dog owner, a legal assistant, and a returned missionary. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Arizona, but have also lived in Arkansas, Missouri, and Mexico. Arkansas is where I call home. I served a mission in Seattle Washington and met some of the most kind, humble, and amazing people. I met my husband there and we have been married now for a year and a half. We love watching our favorite TV shows together and playing with our little puppy. I love singing my husband to sleep every night and belting my favorite Adele songs in the car on my way to work. I'm a legal assistant and absolutely love my job. I'm a reader, a Pinterest recipe copier, a student studying Medical Transcription, and a part-time masseuse to my one and only client -- my huband.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was baptized at age 8 by my brother. But, I too, have my own conversion story. We all seem to lean on our parents when we're younger, believing the things they believe and doing the things they teach us to be right. But a time comes as you grow up when you need to know for yourself which way you want to go. I didn't have an experience like Alma the Younger did in the Book of Mormon, but my testimony came as I lived the Gospel principles and studied the doctrines; when I did it for myself, and not because others told me to. As I read the scriptures and said my prayers, I gained more and more light and knowledge. I recognized the Spirit in my life testifying to me that the things I studied and applied in my life were true. The more I had these feelings, the more I wanted them to continue. Apparently it brought me to the point where I decided to share it with the world, or at least as much of the world as I could. I know that the principles and doctrines of this church are true. I know that God is our loving Heavenly Father and that we are His children. I know that He desires us to choose the right and return to live with Him again someday. I know that He desires our happiness on this earth and we can have that if we follow Him and put our faith and trust in Him. I know that as our Father He wants us to return to Him and made that possible through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and His infinite Atonement. I know that God gives us families to bring us happiness in this life and that our families will be together forever as long as we live worthy. I know that Joseph Smith was the prophet of the Restoration. I know that he saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. I know he translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God and it is His word. I know that this gospel will bring you more happiness and joy in this life and in the life to come more than anything else in this world.

How I live my faith

Currently, I am a representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. "I have been called of Him to declare His word among His people that they might have everlasting life." I will soon be leaving for Seattle to bring Havenly Father's children back to Him and share His love with those around me.
