Hi I'm Lindsey

I run half marathons, a big snow skiier, dark chocolate fan, trying to learn a new language, and loving life.

About Me

I have a great family. They are my number one support system. Each of us has our crazy different personalities, but that is what makes them so special. I have a love for traveling the world, and experiencing new adventures. I am easy going, dependable, and learn to appreciate the small things. I have a love for people's smiles, and I have wanted to be a dental hygienist since I can remember. I have made the best friends over my lifetime, and they know exactly who they are. I am not afraid to open up, and let people know the real me. I have been known for telling every detail. Laughter really is the best medicine. Life is made up of a bunch of small moments, and this is what makes me who I am today. I just like to have fun, and be myself. I set aside some of my favortie things, and said goodbye to the people I love the most to gain something so much better. I am on a mission for the next 18 months in Seattle Washington, to help bring others closer to Chirst.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have always had the desire to do what was right. Of course I have had to gain my own testimony, and have had life experiences that have strengthed who I am today. Now like I have mentioned am serving a mission in Seattle Washington, and speaking spanish. More and more every day I have come to realize how much I need the Savior. Its amazing that I have the opprotunity to be his representative, and what a perfect example I have to follow. Someone who knows exactly how I feel, and exactly what I am going through. We have a loving Heavenly Father who sent his son Jesus Christ to atone for the sins of the world. In turn we can have the greatest gift of all. I have had to spend time learning and appreciating the gospel. I have spent nights on my knees, and have pondered the words of the scriptures with the strength to do what is right. Now I have been called to share the good news of the gospel with the world, or just a small portion of Heavenly Fathers children. I have that burning desire to share it, and I have been given the confirmation from the Holy Ghost. It is something I can never deny. I know that we have a Savior of the World, and that he is my Reedemer. I know that he lives, and suffered for me so that I can become like my Father in Heaven. I know that Joseph Smith was foreordained to bring forth the fullness of the Gospel. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that it was translated by the power of God. I know that our families can be together forever, and I am so grateful and blessed to know that I can be with the people I love most. The gospel brings more blessing than we can even imagine, and it is centered on whats most important in this life. I know that I have a purpose on this earth, and I am a Child of God who has been called to assist in sharing this great message.

How I live my faith

Of course there are many things that I do not know. That is where my faith has to step in. I feel so inadequate at time for this calling that I have to represent Jesus Christ. I have to keep telling myself the Lord qualifies whom that he calls. He is aware of me as well as the things I struggle with most, and my joys. Faith is a principle of action which can in turn lead the the attribute of hope. I have to put my faith in him everyday, and know that he is making me the person he needs me to be. Faith is given to each of us to act, and in turn if we act we are given the power from God. It is that power and testimony that brings others unto christ. Then the hope which gives me the confidence that through the Savior Jesus Chirst we can look forward with faith, because has something so great in store for each of us.
