Hi I'm Wendy Franklin

I want to be better today than I was yesterday, my family is everything to me, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a wife, a mother, a young woman leader, a dance teacher, a visiting teacher, and a friend, and a daughter of GOD. My family is a cherished possession, and I try to be the best wife and mother that I can be. I love to work out and take care of my body, for it is the only one I get! I am lucky to have a Temple close by and do my best to attend weekly, which is easy when I have a Temple van full of friends that I get to go with. I wish I read more, I wish I was better at knowing how to serve others, and I wish we were more financially secure. I believe in Eternal Families, and am so grateful to know that I will see my daughter again. It is something I think of every day. I believe in missions, not only for those who will come into the gospel, but for the missionaries as well. I am thankful my son is serving the Lord as well as the people in Alabama as they serve him. I am blessed to be married to someone who loves me and treats me like a princess. He is my best friend, and we have been through a lot of difficult times, and yet 23 yrs later we have stuck together. I believe because we have always tried to include the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first because I was born into an LDS family. I was baptized when I was 8 years old by my father. But I did not come to appreciate being a member until I started to consider marriage. Heavenly Father loves me enough, that he placed a handsome, faithful, returned missionary, with a wonderful family, in my path. We dated for just a short time, and were married in the SLC Temple. I am now a Mormon because I KNOW it is the only true church of Jesus Christ, and that by living it's teachings and principles we will indeed find joy and peace, even among trial and heartache. I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and have gained a testimony of it's truthfulness. I believe in Joseph Smith and also believe that we have a living prophet on the earth today, President Thomas S. Monson, who guides and directs this church according to the Lord's will. I am a Mormon because I choose to be! It helps me to be a better person, and to make covenants so that I may return and live with those we love. Including our brother Jesus Christ whose atonement is one of the greatest gifts available to anyone who is willing to accept it or not!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by fulfilling my church calling, attending the Temple as well as my church meetings. I live my faith in the way I treat others, especially my family. I live my faith by praying and reading the scriptures, and by going visiting teaching, and holding FHE. Can I do better? YES and am constantly setting new goals to do so. Thankfully for a loving Heavenly Father, he accepts my forgiveness and loves me no matter what. I live my faith in teaching my children the gospel, and try to set a good example. I hope someday to live my faith everyday, all day, by serving a mission with my favorite person.. my hubby!

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Wendy Franklin
We believe that if we are obedient to the commandments of God and are willing to follow the Savior that we can return and live with our families forever! We can have all that the Father has and live with Him again. To me that is a wonderful blessing and opportunity that I stive to fulfill everyday. Show more Show less
