Hi I'm Jeanne

I grew up in New Jersey, loved the ocean, loved life, and love helping others be happy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love digging for my ancestors. I love digging in the dirt. I love watching things grow. I love helping others. I love my children. I love my husband. I love my Savior. I love nature. I am a massage therapist, a polarity practitioner, and do craniosacral therapy. I love helping others feel better, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Why I am a Mormon

I loved people, and enjoyed my life, and also felt like there was something missing. I was looking for something deeper. I received a phone call from my brother's friend's mother saying she would be late picking up her son. She spoke of many things, among them was her church. She invited me to go with her the next day. I said yes (mostly because I wanted to get off the phone). I didn't really want to go, but I promised her. The next day we went. The Sunday School teacher said that this was the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth. I didn't listen any more because I thought that was a bold statement. The missionaries asked if they could teach me about the church. I told them yes, since they were handsome. Upon teaching me, they asked me to pray about it to find out for myself if what they were saying was true. I did this. I had this overwhelming feeling that this was what I was searching for. I joined the church three weeks later. I found the depth that was missing in my life, and answers to my questions. It has been almost 40 years now, and I am thankful every day for the decision I made.

How I live my faith

I have had so many opportunities for growth and service. I worked with the young womens organization, where I helped them have the desire to live according to what the Lord would want. We went to camp, had weekly activities, and we played and had fun together. It is such a rewarding feeling when they feel that desire to do as the Lord would want, and how happy their lives have been because of their decisions. I have worked in the womens organization where we learn how to manage and organize our homes, our lives, and serve others. We have made baby articles and donated to help those mothers who are less fortunate, and are coming home from the hospital with their newborns. We have put together hygiene kits for those in other countries who are less fortunate. We have made quilts for the elderly, etc. It is such a joy to know that I am contributing to our Father in heaven's children, and helping others to be happy. We have a program where we visit the sisters in our congregation once a month or more to help them know they are loved. We learn to love our sisters and help them through this life filled with trials. We take turns helping one another with projects. I have worked with the young children, and seen the joy in their lives for everything they learn. They are so special. What an opportunity I have had to be the hands of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I strive to live the gospel every day of my life, and not only on Sunday. When I fall down, with the help of my Savior, I pick myself up and begin again. I feel like we are here to help one another return to our Heavenly home. Life is not easy, and we all have trials. I believe we are here to love and support one another.
