Hi I'm Kyle

A computer consultant. I love to sing and dance. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in California but moved to Scotland and the Canary Islands with my family for seventh and eighth grade. Joined the LDS church my first year of college. Served a mission to Montreal Canada French speaking. Attended BYU-Hawaii and graduated from BYU-Provo in finance. Own my own computer consulting company. I'm a father of three. I enjoy singing and performing in musicals.

Why I am a Mormon

While I attended Junior College I was introduced to the missionaries of the LDS church while dating a Mormon girl. As I studied with them, I gained a testimony of the truthfulness of what they taught. For the first time I KNEW there is indeed a god who loves me, guides me, and wants me to be happy. He is my father and I, his son. I have since known happiness well beyond that of when I didn't have the Gospel in my life. I have a hope and peace in my heart that sustains me when times get tough. I'm never alone as I ponder His plan of happiness for me. Understanding how Christ is the mediator and my Savior and how the Holy Ghost as a constant companion guides and directs me in times of decisions are great blessings for me and my family. I look at the direction I was going and where I am heading now and cannot begin to convey the gratitude for this knowledge that has changed me spiritually. I know this church is true and that there is a living prophet that guides and directs it. Joseph Smith was also the prophet through which the Gospel was restored in its fullness. I have no doubt the Book of Mormon is the word of God and another testament of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Christ lives and died for the many mistakes I have made in my life. I am so grateful for the atonement and the comfort true repentance brings. It's as if I have enjoyed a wonderful movie and I want others to enjoy it too. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a Bishop in the church. This is a high and holy calling much like being a pastor or priest in other faiths and with it comes much responsibility and requires a great deal of dedication. I did not aspire to this position nor do I feel adequate to the task on my own. It is only through relying on the Holy Ghost and the faith I have in the Church that sustains me in this capacity. Humbly I acknowledge the good that occurs as I serve comes from a higher source of which I am nothing without. I know that as I commit to this service and pattern my life after the Savior's, I will learn many great things and hopefully assist others in enjoying the blessings of the Gospel.
