Hi I'm Ashley

I am a wife to a loving husband and mother to three beautiful children. I love hiking, backpacking, and fishing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love math, especially Calculus. I started a degree in Mathematics, but didn't finish. I want to go back to school someday. I love learning and could probably spend the rest of my life in school. I really love looking at the stars. I love to try and find different constellations and planets and think about how big the universe is. I love being in the outdoors. I love the smell of pine trees. There's something about being in the mountains away from the city that is so relaxing and wonderful to me. I am married to a wonderful man and am the mother of three children. I think that being a mother is one of the hardest but also most rewarding things that I have ever done.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a fourth generation Mormon on both sides, so I was obviously introduced to the gospel principles at a young age. I questioned the truthfulness of the church when I was a teenager. I remember a time when I was camping with my family. I was sitting outside, staring at the stars, and I knew that God was there. Looking at the sky, seeing all the stars and planets and everything in its order- how can any of that be an accident? How could there not be a Supreme Being there, watching over it all? As soon as the thought came in to my mind, I felt an overwhelming feeling that it was truth. It took more work and time for me to strengthen my testimony, but it was work and time well spent. Living the gospel makes my life better. I know there is a plan for me, and that helps me understand why I have to keep trying when things feel like they're falling apart. I know that I am here to learn and grow, and that through trials I can become a better person. I know that I have a loving Father in Heaven who watches over me. I know that He blesses me with tender mercies, and I am grateful for His hand in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by leading others in compassionate service. I work with the Relief Society President to assist those in need. I arrange for meals to be brought, children to be watched, and visit those who have recently had babies. I live my faith by being a visiting teacher. I visit two sisters in my ward, and we talk about our lives and struggles and the blessings of the gospel. My testimony is strengthened every time I visit with them.
