Hi I'm Clint

I am a retired high school/college teacher, an avid fisherman, and love the outdoors, and above all I am a MORMON.

About Me

I am a retired teacher who has taught at the High School and College level as well as at a State Prision.(I just taught there!) I love teaching. I also love to fish. To all of you out there who love to fish, you know what it is like to get good at fishing and to have success at it. It is really rewarding. You soon learn what to do, how to do it and what works. One of the things that has worked for me is, if I keep the Sabath day holy, I have greater success fishing on the other days, (learn what to do). I also learned that if I serve my fellow man, any way I can, that blessings and fish came my way. (how to do it). As I matured and learned more of what the Savior would have me do, I found that the Saviors promise, "Seek ye first the kindom of God, and his rightousness, all else will be added unto you" is really true. (what works). I still find ways to teach, still get outdoors a lot, fish, sometimes to much. Above all, I live the comandments of God, because I am a MORMON.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a boy of about 12, I had a neighbor who was an alcoholic. I was keenly aware of the sorrow he put his family through. At the same time I had a scout master who was totally loved by his family and all his scouts. The time came that I had to choose who I wanted to be like, the choice was easy. I have been involved in Scouting for over 60 years now. It is a big part of the LDS church youth program. It was the good example of that Scout Master that got me active in the Church Of Jesus Christ. He also, along with my grandfather, taught me how to fish...and Love the Lord, Bless them....Good Parents were the main influence though.

How I live my faith

As a teacher, I have been asked to teach in many of the organizations of the Church. Since the Mormon church has a lay ministry, the teaching opportunites have come often. I also have held many positions in the Boy Scouts of America, from scout master to district chairman. Talk about a good way to teach boys how to live their lives and how to fish. With 60 yrs. of scouting, that is a lot of fish and boys,in the creel. But the best way I live my faith, is to be the example the Lord would have me be, as a husband, father, and friend.
