Hi I'm Cara Lee

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Colorado. I am a proud grandmother and I teach elementary school.

About Me

I have been married for 33 years. I am a mother of 3 and grandmother of 4. I spend my time during the school year teaching first graders and my summers off reading, walking and relaxing. I enjoy doing Zumba, spending time with my children and grandchildren, reading and playing with my chocolate lab and cat.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon since I was born. However, as I grew up I began to understand that I needed to have my own reasons for staying a Mormon. I gained a testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ as I read The Book of Mormon, as I learned more about Jesus Christ and as I prayed to know the truth. I have been blessed so much by being a Mormon. I have a peace of mind in knowing that no matter what, Jesus Christ is there to help me, and that families can be together forever. I know that those people I lose to death in this life will be with me again someday. I know that my Heavenly Father answers my prayers and will lead me to make decisions in my life that will bring me happiness. My favorite poem is "Footprints in the Sand" because it reminds me that Jesus Christ cares about me and that he will carry me when times are difficult. I know that the difficulties we face in life are experiences that will help us to grow and become stronger if we face them with faith in Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings on Sunday and I am the secretary in the women's organization. Serving here gives me the opportunity to attend meetings and activities with other women in the church and to get to know other wonderful women who give me strength and help to support me in being a mother, grandmother and daughter of God. I also have the opportunity to visit several sisters each month to share a spiritual message and to check on their lives and help to support them in their lives. I also play the organ and piano in our church meetings on Sunday. I enjoy this because music brings such a spirit into my life and touches hearts.
