Hi I'm Brad

I'm a student. I'm a husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah, California and Florida. I served a Mormon mission for two years in Argentina. I learned how to speak Spanish and I love the people that I was able to meet and serve. When I got back, I met and married my spouse. We have been married for over three years, and our daughter is almost two. I'm currently studying Electrical Engineering, and I love it. I recently finished my BS and started my PhD at Georgia Tech. In my 'free' time, I enjoy reading, hiking, cooking/baking, playing sports, playing board games, singing, playing the piano and a doing variety of other activities. I consider myself a pretty well-rounded person.

Why I am a Mormon

Ever since I was little, my parents have taught me that I should follow Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The way they chose to follow Them was through being members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or the Mormon church. However, there came a point when I had to choose for myself what I would do. I decided that if I wanted to call myself a Mormon, I would have to at least read the Book of Mormon. At the end of the book, there is an invitation to pray to God and ask Him directly if it is true. I did so, and felt peace in my soul. I learned for myself that the Book of Mormon is true and that Christ has established His one true church on the earth. I have never regretted my decision to be baptized and commit myself to the Mormon church.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day. It starts in the morning when I kneel and thank God for my blessings. I pray with my wife morning and night, and we read the scriptures together. We are currently reading the New Testament, trying to learn the teachings that the Savior gave while he was on the earth. I also try to live my faith by serving those around me. I try to be friendly to others and to get to know other people. My wife and I like to make cookies or other treats and deliver them to our neighbors. In church, I teach the 9-11 year old children in our congregation. I enjoy watching their understanding of and appreciation for Jesus Christ grow each week, and I'm grateful that I can play a role in their spiritual development.
