Hi I'm Shannon

I'm a wife and a mom and I love it! I'm a Life Coach, a business owner, and a writer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Life is an adventure and so worth living! I love my family, my work, and my faith. I love to laugh and I'm really happy. I've been married to my best friend, Steve, for almost 30 years. We have a very cool son in law school, a beautiful married daughter, and a wonderful new son-in-law. That makes us empty-nesters and we are having a ball! Professionally I'm a Life Coach and an entrepreneur. I help parents and couples build better family communication/parenting skills. I wish I could be a scrapbooker but i don't have the time. I'm not a great fan of laundry, boring routine chores, or the paper work that can overwhelm any business owner. I do however love the outdoors, reading, and I just finished writing a parenting book so... I guess I'm a writer too. Like I said, Life is an Adventure!

Why I am a Mormon

That's simple... Because this is Christ's true church on the Earth today. Because being a member of this church allows me to commit my life to serving Heavenly Father and His children. Because this church teaches a complete and accurate understanding of Jesus Christ, of His Atonement and why Heavenly Father and Jesus love us all so much. Because I've personally experienced the peace and joy that comes from knowing eternal truths. I know that I am one of God's daughters, that He loves me and that He sent His Son here to sacrifice His life for all of us so that we could live with Them again. Because I'm happy. Or maybe, I'm happy because I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Wow... how do I not? I don't mean that I'm all that and a bag of chips, but really, I live my faith with every breath I take. My life's work is helping families get happy. That's completely tied to living my faith. As Mormons we honor the family because we believe that Heavenly Father wants us to be happy as families and that families can be together for eternity. So even my work is about helping families grow skills that will help them WANT to be together forever. My daily efforts are tied to doing what Heavenly Father wants me to do. I'm prayerful about my actions and work to solve my concerns and worries based on how Jesus Christ would act in similar situations. And when I fall short, and I do all the time, I'm so very grateful for Christ's Atonement and how His sacrifice can heal me. How do I live my faith? With every fiber of my being, how can I not?
