Hi I'm Mark

I am a teacher, husband, father of 6, grandfather of 12 and counting and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love college athletics! While in college I competed in track and field, running the 400 Intermediate hurdles. My career has been in coaching and teaching sharing my passion for history. For the past several years I have taught bible study classes for my church and currently work as the Director of the Institute of Religion and coordinate the early morning scripture study seminaries for the church in my area.

Why I am a Mormon

Through prayer and scripture study, I have come to know for myself that this Church is true and the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I love the Book of Mormon and read from its pages every day. Making and keeping sacred covenants has helped me have purpose and meaning in my life. I find joy every day as I strive to live the commandments.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my life by following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ. In all situations I try to ask the question “What would the Savior do?” Then I listen carefully to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and act upon that direction. These promptings usually come as instructions to help my fellow men. In Mathew 2540 the Savior says “… Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these…ye have done it unto me”
