Hi I'm Emily

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 45, married with four kids and I stay at home raising my kids. I like to read, run and work in my garden. My oldest son was married last summer and my second son is preparing to serve a mission in Estonia. I like to cook and eat, especially chocolate. My husband and I hope to serve a mission together when he retires.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ my entire life. I was baptized at the age of eight and was married at 21. When I was 20, I worked at a Girl Scout Camp in the state of Washington. I made previous arrangements to attend the small congregation nearby on Sunday's during my time off. it was during those meetings, one in particular, that I discovered for myself that I indeed to have a testimony of my own. Since then I have tried to live my life in a way that would be pleasing to God and to myself.

How I live my faith

I live my faith mainly in my family. I don't work outside of my home, but instead have chosen to raise my kids and serve in my community and church. When my kids were little, I volunteered at their schools and helped in the classroom. As they grew up, my free time was spent more in service to my church. For many years I helped with the children in our church, teaching, playing the piano or leading the group discussions. Lately I have been serving with the women in our congregation. I have been inspired by their testimonies and love of the Savior.
