Hi I'm Mary

I am a mother of 4. I was born and raised in the midwest. I love 80's rock and roll. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 31 year old mother of 4. I had a great job right out of high school working in retail and was able to work my way up to a manager. I worked full time until I delivered my third child. We made it work for our family. We worked opposite shifts so we could raise our children. I am now blessed to be a stay home mother while my husband runs his own auto glass business. I enjoy gardening, scrapbooking, visiting with friends while the kids play, blogging, good old 80's rock music, theatre, watching my children play sports, dance, and much more. I try to raise our children to be loving, accepting, forgiving, charitable people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because of many reasons. I recieved my own personal witness as a teenager. I have had several life experiences that the gospel has helped me endure and enjoy. I grew up in a home where I had to prove through my actions that being apart of this church was right for me and something that was real and important to me in order to be a part of it. I had and have much adversity for being a mormon from friends and family but know that my life is better because I am a mormon. I know that if I am a Christ-like person that I am happier and my life runs more smoothly. This church is so service oriented. In fact every part of this church is about serving your fellow man. I am honored to be a part of that. As members we serve in different capacities within the church without pay. I have helped teach sunday school classes, administer to poor, sick, and afflicted, lead scouting activities, youth programs, and tending small children. I feel it a true blessing in my life to be a part of a church that is so centered around Jesus Christ and loving one another. As I serve as a disciple of Christ, I become a better me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading in the scriptures with my family as close to daily as we can. I pray often. I have several private moments in prayer on my knees but also many on the go while I drive or do the dishes or stuggle to keep peace with my children. I attend church services 3 hours each sunday and meetings throughout the week for planning when necessary. I currently serve as a worker in the childrens group for sunday school. We have 100+ children each week that we teach music and scripture stories to. I have also served in the womens orginazation helping do the work of the Lord. We have organized many efforts to relieve burdens in sick or afflicted womens lives. I have helped teach women ways to be self reliant and to be prepared in all things. I have served with the teenage girls of the church and helped them learn ways to grow into responsible women. I have helped them learn to strong women who respect themselves and to learn values such as modesty, love, charity and more. I live my faith by teaching my children the principles of the gospel and to know who Jesus Christ is. I live my faith my serving in any way I am asked to and I love it.
