Hi I'm David and Andrea

We grew up and live in the south. We struggled with infertility and now raise four outstanding boys!

About Me

We are very active and enjoy baskteball, aerobics, and running. We are the parents of four wonderful boys! Two are adopted and two are birth children! We tried for several years to have children and were eventually told it wouldn't happen because of a medical condition called endometriosis. We didn't feel that we needed to "birth" children to fill the desire we had to be parents and so we pursued adoption through LDS Family Services. We were soon selected to adopt our first son! Several years later, we again were blessed with the adoption of our second son. We still didn't feel that our family was complete and we were beginning to look into adopting again when we were surprised to find we were expecting a baby; another son! Several years later, our family was blessed with our fourth son! Our home is full of energy and excitement. Our family began through our loving Heavenly Father's plan for us! Contrary to what many say, we didn't adopt with hopes of having "biological" children. We wanted each of our beautiful children and see the gift of their life to our family! We have been able to share our story in many ways as a testimony of Heavenly Father's plan for each family.

Why I am a Mormon

We love the gospel of Jesus Christ. Andrea was raised in a LDS family, but still sought for her testimony through scripture study and prayer. She came to know our Savior, Jesus Christ and felt of His love for her. David is a convert to the church when he was 17 years old. He served a two year mission in southern California. We were married in the Washington, DC temple in May 1994. We are grateful to know of Heavenly Father's plan for our family. The gospel helps us teach our children with so many negative influences from the world. We know that our Heavenly Father loves each one of us and has created a way for us to be successful in keeping His commandments. We know that the prophet Joseph Smith was called of God to restore His church and teachings back upon the earth. The gospel has kept us safe as we follow it's teachings and principles in life. We know our Savior atoned for our sins and try each day to apply the atonement in our life. There is safety in knowing who we are and who we can become and that is what the gospel helps us understand. Family is very important in our life, and we appreciate that our Heavenly Father has made a way for us to have the potential to be together forever as a family.

How I live my faith
