Hi I'm Woody

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father of four, a grandfather of ten, a cancer survivor, a volunteer for our church, a President of a medical device company and I'm a Mormon. I love the outdoors and all the activities that are available living in the Rocky Mountain West. I most love the opportunities when all of our family can be together either here at home or visiting a beach somewhere. It has been four and a half years since I was diagnosed with cancer and I am grateful for every cancer free day and for the unique perspective that cancer gives me on family, living each day, loving, serving others and what happens in the next life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church for my whole life. When I was eighteen months old, my mother got polio and was completely paralyzed. She lived in a iron lung which is what breathed for her. I remember praying as a little child that my mother would be healed and that she could walk again. Although that never happened, I felt the love of my Heavenly Father as He helped me and my family deal with my mothers situation. Today the gospel of Jesus Christ continues to help me deal with the issues that life brings me and my family. The love that my Heavenly Father has for me and my family and the message of the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ lets me know that my childhood prayer that my mother will be made whole and that she will be able to walk again and that I can feel her put her arms around me will be answered.

How I live my faith

My faith is my life. Each day I try to become a better disciple of Jesus Christ whether it be by loving my wife and children or being kind and helpful to all people. Every day I have the opportunity of helping others and serving others. My company designs, develops and manufactures, instruments and devices that help people overcome serious medical problems. At the end of the work day I can go home knowing that we are doing things to help restore full life and health to patients ranging in age from new borns to geriatric patients. The position in the church that I hold provides me opportunities to help people overcome the emotional and spiritual problems that keep them from living a complete and happy life. The gospel of Jesus Christ provides opportunities for us to aid others in their journey through life. Each day I live trying to be more like my Savior by serving others.
