Hi I'm Hernan

I'm a Mormon. I was baptized on January 9, 2000. I used to teach in college, now I am retired.

About Me

I was born in a catholic family, but I lost my interest in religion when I was 22 years old. Later on I got married and came with my wife to United States to study. One day we received a visit of the missionaries. We had never heard of the LDS Church before. After the discussions my wife, who was very devote catholic, was baptized. It took me 28 years after that to be baptized. I wish I had done before.

Why I am a Mormon

We have the tendency of accumulating things in this life and sometimes we may loose them all in few hours. That is what happened to me, and then is when I realized that we came to this world for something better, we came to improve ourselves, to follow our Savior so we can join to Him and our Heavenly Father after this life and in the LDS Church I learned that I can do that with my family.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday, and I enjoy visiting the families that I have been assigned as home teacher. I read the scriptures and attend special meetings that are called Conferences in which we are taught by our Lord through our leaders. Currently I am serving as the clerk of a recently organized Spanish branch about 20 miles from home.
