Hi I'm Caleb

I was raised in Arizona, Oregon, and Idaho. I love motorcycles and nearly anything that has to do with the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite hobby would have to be anything that has a motor on it. Whether that be a car, truck or motorcycle, I love them all. There is such a sense of freedom when you are on a motorcycle, it's just an incredible feeling. I guess that you could say that I'm a bit of an adrenaline junky. I've done sky-diving, and look forward to the opportunity to go again! Another cool thing about me is that I come from a large family. I'm number 9, of 11 children, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed enough to be born and raised in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I enjoyed the opportunities and programs that the Church offers as I grew up. After I graduated from High School, I had a difficult time finding the path that I wanted to take in my life. I strayed from the Church for a while, and I chose not to serve a mission. Then something happened, that changed my life forever. My mother was diagnosed with stomach cancer, and passed away less then a year after the diagnosis. When that happened, I knew that I needed to find out for myself if the teachings of the Church were true. Can I really live with my family forever? Is this truely the Church of Jesus Christ? Is this truely the Gospel that will help me return to live with my Heavenly Father? And live with my mother again? So, I put the promise in the end of the Book of Mormon to the test. I prayed, received an answer, and I know that this is the Restored Gospel of Jesus, that we do have a living Prophet once again, on the earth to lead us, and to bless our lives. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer, and that He lives!

How I live my faith

As of right now, I live my faith by being a missionary of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. The best part is that I have been blessed enough to be able to serve and preach in the language of Spanish! There's nothing better then being able to give your all, to people you don't even know, and to love and help wherever you can.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Caleb
The Authority, also known as the Priesthood is important because it is the Power to act is God's name here on the Earth. There is a reason that Christ went to John the Baptist to be baptized. The first reason is because John had been given that Authority, and Christ knew that, and the second was to fulfill the prophecy of the one who would go before and prepare the way of the Lord (Isaiah 40:3). When someone has that Authority, then the baptism is recognized as valid in the eyes of God. We know that there are many people that are trying to follow in the path of Christ by being baptized. But when it is done without this Authority, it's not the same. But, because of the love that the Lord has for us, he has given us that Authority once again, that ability to act in his name, and to perform the saving ordinances like baptism, that we need to return again to His presence to live with Him one day. In whom should we have faith?

Caleb
We should have Faith in our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ. Because it is only through him that we can be made clean. We need to have Faith that He did suffer in the Garden of Gethsemane for all of our sins, and all of our pains and afflictions. We need to have Faith that He did die on the cross for us, and three days later, was Resurrected. Show more Show less
