Hi I'm Carrie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom to a wonderful 7 year old son. I enjoy attending church services. I love writing, both poetry and short stories. I enjoy photography and finding those moments that you want to simply capture. I enjoy reading all different kinds of books. I enjoy penpalling although I have gotten away from it recently, I miss it a lot.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the church is true. The church for me is like a family. We are all brother and sister. I enjoy how being Mormon keeps me going on a good path in life. It has made me a healthier and more responsible person. It has helped me to become a better mother to my son. I became Mormon when I was leaving an abusive relationship. Becoming Mormon gave me a sense of faith and belonging. It helped me to feel safe and gave me a wide support network. It has allowed me to meet many wonderful people and make wonderful friends. I know that in the church there is always love and support for one another.

How I live my faith

I enjoy volunteering within my community. I love to participate in the visiting teaching. It feels good to be able to share my faith with others and to help others who may be struggling. I enjoy sharing my experience being Mormon with other people. I do not as of yet have a calling at my church, but I hope that one day I will. I attend services every week and read the Book of Mormon and the Bible to increase my faith.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another telling of Jesus Christ. It shows that Jesus was God's son. It is written by ancient prophets. God continues to call prophets among the ancient civilization, this civilization became great. The Book of Mormon gives a great promise that those who read it and pray about it will know that the Holy Ghost is true. Show more Show less
