Hi I'm Rebekah Palmer

I grew up in Southern California and have a degree in Criminology and Justice Studies. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the oldest of six children, 5 girls and 1 boy. I am married to a wonderful Husband and have a daughter and a son. My parents are both converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My mom is from Korea and my dad is from California. I love running, reading, cooking, and playing with my baby girl. My favorite shoes to wear are my Nike's, I love a good pair of jeans, and I like painting my toenails Hot Pink!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family, however, I've had many trials in my life and became inactive during my teens. I hit a low and knew that I could pray and receive guidance. So one day I did, and if the Lord himself was leading me by the hand, I returned to church, received my patriarchal blessing, became temple worthy, met a worthy priesthood holder, and was married in the temple within a few years. It is an experience I will never forget. I have grown so much in the gospel and I am so happy to have the opportunity to teach my own children. I have always loved this gospel and have always had a testimony of it's truth. I am so grateful for truth's that have been revealed through the prophet Joseph Smith, especially regarding the nature of God and the relationship between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon that contains a fullness of the Gospel and how it testifies of Jesus Christ and His mission and Atonement for us. I love how we are guided by a Prophet in these latter days. I know that God our eternal father loves us so much, and still speaks to His chosen prophets to help guide us. I know that families are eternal, and I know how important it is to keep the commandments. When we do we are truly blessed. I know that as we follow the prophet we can be safe physically and spiritually, and that we can come to understand more about the gospel and God's plan for us, and our faith and testimonies will strengthen. I am so grateful for service, to receive and to give. It is a wonderful way to show our Father in Heaven that we love Him and each other. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ as taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has blessed my life in so many ways, and though I still have trials and still make mistakes, I am happy because I know that as long as I strive to be like Jesus, and keep all of the commandments and keep all of the covenants I have made with Him, that I can be with them again someday.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of church and attend all of my Sunday meetings. I participate by teaching primary classes, ages 3-8 years of age. I attend activities at the church with my fellow sisters where we teach each other new skills or develop deeper faith in Christ by discussing lessons and scripture. I am also a merit badge counselor and have helped young boys achieve merit badges during scouting activities. I visit sisters that have been assigned to me to help edify them spiritually by sharing a gospel lesson, and making sure they have the things they need.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Rebekah Palmer
I believe that increasing our faith in Jesus Christ helps us to overcome challenges we face in our lives, and it also helps us to make the right choices consistently. As I read my scriptures and pray daily I am strengthening my faith in Christ. When I serve others and maintain my desire to follow His example and teachings,my faith in Christ is also strengthened. I know that the Savior wants me to have strong faith and to trust in Him, and because I know this I know that when I am obedient to God's commandments he blesses me. Those blessing encourage me and reassure me that I am on the right path, and that He loves me. It is work every day. We must be diligent if we want to increase our faith. Every choice we make is an oppurtunity to Strenthen our Faith so long as we are striving our best to make the right ones. Prayer and reading our scriptures are very important too. Daily prayer and scripture study strengthens our relationship with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and helps us get to know them better. When we seek to know them and strengthen our relationship with them, then I can guarantee that our Trust in them will only increase. Show more Show less
