Hi I'm Lamar

I have an awesome family, I love to water ski and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small Idaho Town, left after graduation never thinking I would come back. Wrong! Fifteen years later I was back, but now with my beautiful wife, and our two sons. We have loved it here. My greatest joy is spending time with my family no matter the activity; playing games, camping, water skiing, running, or just hanging out together. I enjoy running, and have run some marathons, triathlons, and the Senior Games track and field. I love to spend time making things on the wood lathe, and yes I LOVE to water ski year round despite the cold water :) We are also now grandparents which is even MORE fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the LDS church, attended with my family, and even served a mission, but I really didn't appreciate what it had to offer until I was married and had a family. As mentioned above my family is my greatest joy, and I don't want to be anywhere without them. Knowing that we can be a "Forever Family", and our relationships can continue after this life is what it's all about for me. I have also developed a fervent testimony that each of us is individually known and loved by a very loving Heavenly Father. I find great comfort in that.

How I live my faith

In the church we have the opportunity to serve in various callings (leaders, teachers, etc). I really enjoy being able to serve others, work with the youth and visit with families in their homes. The church teaches us to follow high standards, be good citizens and set a good example. I try to do that.
