Hi I'm Carol

I teach middle school social studies and I love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a native of Colorado and I love the outdoors- hiking, biking, golfing, being in the sun. I have 7 nieces and nephews and love competing to be the favorite auntie with my sisters. I try to leave the country at least once a year to experiences other cultures and see the evidence of great civilizations, past and present. I have been to 5 continents so far. My family is vital to my happiness and can honestly say I'm friends with all my siblings. I'm concerned about how we treat others, especially in other parts of the world and wish the saying was "I'm grateful to be an American."

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that belonged to the LDS faith. As I grew up in this faith, I had personal experiences that testified to me that God loved me as an individual and his daughter. I had answers to prayers and received blessings. As an adult, I continue to have a testimony because the Holy Ghost testifies to me that Joseph Smith restored the gospel of Jesus Christ in the latter days. I know living the teaching of this church brings me happiness and helps me progress to be a better person.

How I live my faith

I've had many opportunities to provide service in the congregations I've lived in over the years. I particularly enjoy my current calling in the women's organization of the LDS faith. This organization is the oldest women's group in the world and it helps me understand the sacred role of women to our Heavenly Father and strengthens my testimony that women are an equal and valued part of a family, a community, a country, and a world.
