Hi I'm Kathleen

I love God. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a full-time mom of four young children (and counting). I love watching my children grow and develop, as well as watching them learn to make their own good decisions. I'm married to a great man who loves and cares for me and our children, endlessly. We aren't perfect, but we are trying our best to live happily and follow God's commandments. We feel His love as we share each day together growing and learning.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the privilege of being born into a great family who were already members of this church. As a result, you could say I "grew up a member," but I still had to find my own testimony, and a way to keep it strong. Through my life experiences, I have found no other way of living, no other church, that offers so much happiness and peace in its principles and beliefs. Indeed, gaining a testimony of, and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its fulness is the way to have a joy that stays and doesn't fade.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time, one moment at a time, in everything I do, in every decision I make, in the way that I choose to live out my life. Dedicating my time to my children, my extended family, my church (or ward) family, and my community, occupies most, if not all of my time. I love serving my Father in Heaven by serving His children, in my home, most of all. In the home is where the real heart and soul of the Gospel lies. Sacrifices I make for my family and the kind words I speak to them are how I show my faith in the great plan that our Father in Heaven has for His children - to be part of a good and loving family.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Kathleen
Joseph Smith was a person, called by God to do His work, just like prophets in the Old Testament. Think of Noah, Moses, Samuel, and Jeremiah - God chose these men as His mouthpieces during certain times and places on the earth, so people could learn faith and choose to follow His ways. It is the same in more recent history, with Joseph Smith. God chose Joseph to re-establish His church on the earth and to be His prophet. God has had a pattern of calling prophets, and He continues to do so. To know if Joseph Smith truly was a prophet, all you need to do is ask God if He, indeed, called him as a prophet. God will answer in truth. Show more Show less
