Hi I'm Gina

I grew up in Orange County, California. I love the ocean and lived on an island called Kwajalein. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I consider this to be the best time of my life. I have a variety of roles in which I grow from each day. I love being a mom. I have three boys and one girl. My oldest son is newly married and my daughter is in her first year of college. The relationship which I have with these two is alive with indepth conversations and beautiful feelings of spiritual maturity. My other son is in middle school just discovering all the fantastic possibilities that are before him. I am thankful that he still wants to share ideas with me but I definitely need to give him room to be independent. My youngest son is in fourth grade but thinks he is in college. He takes our breath away with his zeal for life. I think he dreams of inventions in his sleep. My husband is my best friend. I am so thankful that I have a person who is devoted to me,the children and the Lord. We have always had a great respect for each other even when we were dating, so raising a family and remaining a couple in love has been a joint effort. We take time to date and keep our relationship fresh. Going to the temple often, keeps our focus on eternity. I am a college graduate with a bachelors degree in speech communications. I served my internship with Marriott International in Washington D.C. My profession was a Sales and Marketing Director for Marriott Hotels. I later became a consultant for other hotel chains and eventually chose to invest my whole being into my greatest task that of being a mom and wife.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a strong testimony of this church. I know Joseph Smith restored the gospel of Jesus Christ in it's fullness. When I study the life of Jesus Christ in the bible I feel a warmth and beauty that fills my whole soul. It speaks truth to my heart. I get the same feeling when I read the testimony and witness of Joseph Smith. I know he translated the Book of Mormon by inspiration from our Savior. The words and testimony that are declared from the prophets in the Book of Mormon are individual and unique from those men. The same feeling of truth resonates through my being as I read their words, this is a witness from the Holy Ghost that the things that I am reading or studying are truly of God. The two books of scripture testify of Christ. This is the whole purpose; to bring people to Christ. We need to understand that our Savior, Jesus Christ, loves us so much. He wants us to be happy, to trust in him, to believe that he atoned for our sins so that we can be lifted from pain and sorrow as we repent and turn to him. We in return help others and find great joy in living as the savior would have us live. I know that if an individual has a sincere desire to know if these things are true, an answer will be given through personal prayer. I am a convert to the church along with my sister and my mom. I was ten years old and my sister was twelve when we approached my father and asked him if we could be baptised. He was not a member and asked us a very important question. "Do you girls feel that this will make you happy and do you really believe it is true?" "Oh yes", was our reply. We did get baptised and through our study and application of the things that we were taught in our childhood and adult lives we have been blessed with a richness of peace and joy. Our testimony grew little by little. We still have trials but they have been manageable because Christ tenderly walks with us. I testify that these things are true.

How I live my faith

Through my affiliation with the church I have been given wonderful oppotunities to grow as a person. I have had several positions in leadership. I have been in a presidency that oversees the children of the congregation, this is called the Primary auxillary. We have teachers for every age group that teach the children gospel principles every sunday. I currently hold a position as the music chorister for the children. I teach the children how to sing songs and we have an annual presentation with music and speaking parts that we present to the congregation. The children get experience in speaking, singing, and praying in front of people which gives them confidence as they get older. I have also been a teacher to children, teenagers and adults. I have learned how to relate to all the age groups and this has been a blessing because I have been a school teacher in elementary, intermediate and high school. One of my favorite positions was being called as the president of the young women organization (ages 12-18). I knew every young women and helped her know of her value and worth as a daughter of god. We had a program called the personal progress program. Each girl was responsible to achieve several goals
