Hi I'm Scott

I'm a Scout leader. A First Aid, CPR, and firearms instructor. A technical support engineer, husband, and father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a farm in southwestern Colorado. I obtained a degree in Agricultural Education and taught high school ag classes. My father, two of my sons, and I are all Eagle Scouts. I have two more sons working on their Eagle rank now. Scouting is a way of life in our family with all members including my wife and daughter involved in the movement. Over the years I've certified as a firearms instructor, a First Aid/CPR instructor, and water safety instructor. I've been overweight roughly half my life, but am turning that around. I run 3 miles a day, and swim 1 mile daily. My family is also on board, and we're all trying to prove that we can be fit and happy.

Why I am a Mormon

My firm belief in the eternal nature of families is what keeps me active in the church. Nowhere else do I find doctrines that support my complete belief and faith that the families we have here persist into the eternities. Striving to live gospel standards has improved my health, my life, and our family relations. Our lives are forever improving through living our faith.

How I live my faith

I work with the young men in our ward as an adviser, teacher, and Scout leader. I have chances every day to help boys learn to provide service, improve themselves, and become righteous men of character.
