Hi I'm Kirk Chadwick

I love my family. I manage a business. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my highschool sweetheart from Pocatello Idaho. I have 5 wonderful children. My youngest daughter is adopted and she was born in China. Our family has lived in Great Britain, in the wonderful country of Wales. We loved it there and still have wonderful friends there. I currently manage a business that makes plastic packaging. I love music of all kinds (mostly popular music). I love cycling. I love to read.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I had a desire to know the truth. I really wanted to know if there was a God, and if God loved me. I wanted to know which church was His church. I really had a desire to know. When I met the missionaries they began to teach me the doctrines of the church. They taught me that God and Jesus Christ were two seperate beings, and that Jesus was God's son. They also taught me that families could be together forever as part of God's plan for his children. When they asked me if I believed these things were true, I said to them 'Doesn't everyone believe these things are true'? These truths were so clear to me that they were almost innate - a part of me from the beginning. They taught me that there was a prophet on the earth today (which made so much sense to me). They taught me that the church today was organized in the same way that Christ organized his original church - that there was no professional or paid ministry. Finally, they taught me that God had restored his church to the earth through a prophet named Joseph Smith. They taught me that God and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph, in answer to prayer, and restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth through him. These things felt good and right to me, however, I felt that I needed to know for sure. I resolved to pray and ask God to know what was true. I bear testimony that the Lord answers prayers. He will let us know what is true and what is right. As I prayed to know what was right, I felt such a feeling of joy and happiness. I was overwhelmed by a feeling of joy, like I had never felt before. I know that my prayers had been answered, and that God loves me. I testify that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth! I believe with all of my heart that the Book of Mormon is scripture. Reading this book, and applying the principles taught in it have made me a better person and have helped me to overcome many challenges in my life.

How I live my faith

I have served the Lord in many ways. I have spend most of my life as a latter day saint serving and working with youth. I have enjoyed experiences that I have had ministering and counseling families and helping them come unto Christ. I have had many great leaders and mentors that have been great role models for me and have helped me to be a better husband as a father. I have also practiced my religion by being very involved in my community, both in our school system and in our local United Way. I have served as the president of our local United Way for 2 years I love that the Lord's church has no paid ministry. Everyone just volunteers and serves the Lord the best they can. Serving other people always brings me joy.
