Hi I'm Bob

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 3 adopted children, married to my wife since 1984. I am currently serving as the Bishop of the Mesquite ward, and so enjoy serving with such wonderful poeple, who strive to follow our Savior and serve one another. I enjoy camping with the Boy Scouts and my family, Rock Climbing, mountain biking, and watching my childrens sport activities. For a living I am an Architectural Designer, specializing in the design of custom homes. This has been a very rewarding career and I have enjoyed the association of many wonderful clients as they create houses which become homes to their families.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ. I believe in my Savior and cherish His teachings. I was raised as a member of the church, and I am very greatful for the teaching I have recieved throughout my life. As a lifelong member it seemed that I should still assure myself that my beliefs were in accordance with God's. I have enjoyed many spiritual experiences which allow me to know that I am following my Savior, I am a member of His Church, and I often enjoy the companionship of the Holy Ghost. I have found the greatest of rewards and joy in His service and in the service of others. I look forward to the day when my sweet wife and I welcome our children and their families into the eternities with our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I am currently the Bishop of The Misquite Ward, as such I enjoy leading this small congregation of Saints, and with the other leaders of our congregation provide programs and activities which lift and strengthen each of us. I enjoy my association with all members in this capacity, and especially enjoy working with the youth. Teaching them and seeing them move closer to Jesus Christ is a great reward. I also enjoy working with the Boy Scouts, and for several years I have taken part in the training of other scout leaders, teaching them to safely take the boys in their troops rock climbing and rappelling. I hope that I can always be an example of a disciple of Christ, I strive to have my example be one that reflects the tenderness and mercy that the Savior has always granted me.
