Hi I'm Ken

I'm a Mormon. I've lived in the Denver area for forty years. I love it here, and I never want to leave.

About Me

I love sports. My favorite is playing golf. I enjoy all the local pro teams, and loved it when the Broncos finally won the Super Bowl. We have three children, and are recent empty-nesters. My wife and I like working in our yard. We also have the best neighbors anywhere. We enjoy visiting some of our wonderful mountain towns, like Estes Park, Steamboat Springs, and Grand Lake. I have climbed Mt Bierstadt, and that is probably the only fourteener that I'll scale. But at least I got one in.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to have been born into a Mormon home. I appreciate that my parents followed the teachings of Jesus Christ, and I wanted to do the same when I was a parent. Having the Church in our life helped in raising our children. It gave them a wonderful moral basis as they grew up. Because of the love they have for the Savior, it helped them pick appropriate friends. Though many of their friends were not of our faith, they still had the same high moral values, which helped our children make better choices. I am grateful for all of our good friends that love Jesus Christ and want to be like him.

How I live my faith

One of the best things about being Mormon is the chance to serve others around us. I have had many chances to work with teenagers in and out of the Church. In the church I was able to be a Scoutmaster for several years. At our local high school I volunteered as the president of two booster clubs, and served as a committee chair in our local elementary school.
