Hi I'm Joan

I was born in Utah. I've lived in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota. I'm a twin. I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of four. I love music, scrapbooking, and organizing. My husband recently finished graduate school. We have moved a lot in the last several years but feel happy to be settled with a wonderful job. I love my children. I love my husband. My family is the single most important thing in the world!

Why I am a Mormon

I love to be happy, and I love my family. This gospel has given me happiness I know I can't get elsewhere. I lost my twin sister to cancer a few years ago, and it has been the single most challenging experience I've had in my life. But knowing that we will be together again, for eternity, brings me such peace. I have a husband whom I love with all my heart. He has been my rock through trialing times. Our testimonies have grown and strengthened together, and I am thrilled to have him for eternity as well.

How I live my faith

I attend church weekly and strive to live the lessons I've been taught daily. I attend the temple and read from the scriptures regularly. I enjoy playing the piano and expressing my love for the gospel through music. I am involved with the youth, teaching them and organizing midweek activities. I write in my journal often. I visit members throughout each month, checking to make sure their needs are met and offer assistance when needed. As a family, we read scriptures daily, pray daily, and have family home evening once a week where everyone participates in some good, quality family time.
