Hi I'm Xazmin

I’m an effervescent fan of Pixar villains, a champion of Hufflepuff and Slytherin house, and I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I am a ball of sunshine... and I have people who can second it... (I hope). I was born and raised in the beautiful northern Arizona country by tame Navajo Indians. Faithful, goodly parents and clever siblings nurtured my charming personality. I am a shameless seeker of knowledge, an addict to books of truth, theory, and fantasy. I love the intensely dry heat of Arizona coupled with popsicles and the frigid cold winters of Minnesota backed by hot chocolate with whip cream.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have “experimented” upon the words of the prophets contained in the Bible, Book of Mormon, and other scripture. I have listened to the words spoken by current church leaders. All of them testify of Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world. All of them invite us to take upon us His name and become like Him. As we do so, beautiful promises accompany our faith and obedience. I have not only read and listened, but I have applied the words to varying facets of my life at different moments. I have prayed to know if the feelings in my heart and the peace in my mind is of God. The results of these experiments have been affirmative and rewarding. Happiness, gratitude, hope, and love—feelings that I delight in daily are yields of living this gospel. The sweet and simple truths I have learned from these experiences have made me truly happy.

How I live my faith

I am able to fully live my faith by acting upon what I believe to be true. This encompasses "being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men..." (Article of Faith 13). This can be achieved by diligently reading the Book of Mormon and other scripture, making and keeping sacred covenants, and above all, being kind and honest to all people.
