Hi I'm Doug

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I presently live in the Atlanta, Georgia area and have lived here for the past thirty plus years after growing up in a small town in Southeast Idaho. I spent two years in Japan as a missionary before finishing my schooling at BYU. I moved here to work for a large accounting firm, but presently own a roofing company. After a difficult divorce, I met and married Diane Robertson Moore. Our combined family of seven children has expanded with grandkids and is a little bit of heaven on earth. I love life and look forward to many years of happiness serving in the Church and community.

Why I am a Mormon

Through years of study, I have found the doctrine of the church to be incredibly beautiful. I love the belief that everyone who has ever lived on the earth will be given a fair chance to accept or reject Jesus Christ either in this life or in the Spirit World. I love the thought of living in an eternal marriage with my sweet wife, Diane. I am grateful for the grace of Jesus Christ that is available to me because of the atonement of my Savior. The Atonement is an active part of my life and allows me to face the challenges of life with confidence and peace in my heart.

How I live my faith

The Gospel of Jesus Christ has given me direction in a crazy world. My focus is not so much on the here and now as it is eternity. I recognize the blessing that an eternal perspective provides and try to face each trial knowing that choices that I make will provide eternal blessings and consequences. The consequences can be good or bad. I look forward to the opportunity to serve my fellow man and find great joy in creating happiness through that service. I love little kids and find great delight in making them laugh.
