Hi I'm Chris

I am a single mother of five grown children and grand mother of eight. I grew up in California, USA. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I retired from full time employment five yers ago. I enjoy taking care of grand children, gardening and home improvement projects. I moved from California to Colorado to help with the care of my grandson now 15 years old. He has cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair. I travel to California a couple of times a year to see family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints by the man that I would marry. I began to read the Book of Mormon and to take the Missionary discussions. As I read the Book of Mormon I felt that I was reading something that I had always know. As I prayed to know that the Book was true, I recieved a marvelousl feeling of warmth and joy. I knew that it was true! I also knew that if the Book was truly the word of God that Joseph Smith had to be a prophet.

How I live my faith

I prepare and print the program and bulletin for Sunday meetings. I have two dear friends and sisters in the Ward that I have been given the privilage of looking after. I enjoy visiting with them. I also have a dear friend who comes to visit me and checks on my welfare. In the past I have taught lessons to the young children, worked with the Cub Scouts, served as secretary in several auxillaries, and taught homemaking and gardening skills to the women in my ward.
