Hi I'm Mona

I'm very lucky, I was born into a Mormon home. Lots of love & concern for others and a strong belief in Jesus Christ filled life.

About Me

I love being married to my eternal companion. We share our love of family and the gospel. Watching an old movie with a bowl of buttery popcorn and a glass of fresh squeezed lemonade is one of my favorite pastimes. I love to tell stories to children. Stories of my childhood or stories I learned as a child are my favorites. My seven children may be tired of hearing these tales, but my 19 grandchildren still ask for them.

Why I am a Mormon

I have enjoyed being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all my life. As a little girl I repeated in a church program "I'm a little dolly all dressed in ruffles blue, and if you hold me upright-I will walk to you." The church has given me many opportunities to grow and develop skills. I love to think about my Savior, and to realize the blessing that He afforded me by living and then dying for my sake. The church has helped me to understand what that sacrifice means. I hope that I will always be upright and walk into the arms of my Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

It is my privilege to work with children aged 3 to 12. For two hours each Sunday the children have a chance to sing, learn gospel truths, attend class time and participate in reverent activities that help them learn about where they came from, how to live now and where they will go when they leave this world. They are so innocent and willing to learn about their Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ. The adult members of the church, that I work with in this calling, are so dedicated and concerned for the welfare of the children. They are an inspiration to me as well as the children.
