Hi I'm Paul

I'm so Burgh! I currently live in Omaha I'm a husband, father, and grandfather. I'm a GEEK and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was trained as an Electronics Technician and have worked myself up to a *NIX Systems Administrator. I work full time and am working toward retirement - if that is possible. I am a Ham radio operator, but I mostly just listen when I can. Computers are also a hobby - I have an old Sun system, a Windows XP system, a Vista laptop and a Windows 7 system with enough resources to run VMware Workstation. Another hobby is genealogy. My children have all fledged and provided us with 3.9 grandchildren. ( by the time you read this it will be 4)

Why I am a Mormon

When I was born, I was baptised Presbyterian and later went to a non-denominational Church. They all taught that God was loving, kind, and merciful, but if you did not belong to their Church or believe what they believe, you were doomed to hell. I felt that wasn't right. When I was 13, two Missionaries knocked on our door and my mother let them in. From them I learned that God doesn't play favorites - a Saudi that lives according to God's law will be rewarded the same as an anyone else that lives the Law. The Spirit bore testimony to me that this is the Church I needed. The Spirit has borne witness to me many times since then on the truths of the Gospel and I have been blessed. You can know for yourself.

How I live my faith

I pray often, fulfill the duties the Lord has called me to perform. I visit my Home Teaching families as often as circumstances permit, serve in the Lords Holy Temple, and assist the Missionaries when I am able. There are many opportunities to serve!
