Hi I'm Katie

I'm a born and raised Idahoan. I'm contently average in nearly every way, but somehow I will make a difference! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I consider myself average, but that is just fine with me! I was born in Idaho, I've lived up and down and all around the state but never outside of it. I love this beautiful state and the humble hard working people that live here. Right now I'm attending college because I enjoy stretching my mind with knowledge and experience. I'm still in search of my niche in the career market but I know I'll find my place if I keep searching. I don't have to be recognized on stage or have my name on a billboard, I just want to make the world a little bit better just because I was here. I enjoy the world for it's simple pleasures, the smell of rain, the beauty of a sunset, the stars in the night sky, the friendships within family, the joy in a persons eyes after they laugh... for me life isn't a race or even a journey to find happiness. We don't have to wait for some far off milestone to be happy, "seize the day!" make everyday better than yesterday. I want to live each day better than I did the last. I want a life with no empty yesterdays.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been raised in a gospel centered home. My parents have taught me to follow the Lord since my childhood. Neighbors and friends around me have encouraged me to stay active in the church and live the gospel principles. I'm grateful for the support I've had in gaining my own testimony. As I'm growing up, I'm realizing that I need just that, my OWN testimony. I'm not an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because someone told me I should be, I'm an active member because I want to be! I know the gospel is true! I find no happiness greater than when I am striving to do what is right! Life is never easy, but it goes so much smoother when I strive to follow Heavenly Father's will for me. I am happy when I live the commandments, I feel good about myself when I live the standards of this church!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to be the person God wants me to be each day. I fall short each day, but trying harder the next day is what life is about. I live my faith by caring about other people, serving those around me, being honest, being friendly, and trying to live an upstanding life. I've served in the church in a few capacities thus far in my life. With in the Young Women's program, I served as a leader to my class. As a young adult I've at different times coordinated the program schedule and announcement bulletin for my ward, been a music leader in the Relief Society (the part of our meetings especially for the women in the church), and served in the primary teaching the young children. I love this gospel. I know it's true. I live my faith by trying to be the best me I can be!
