Hi I'm Seth

I am a husband, a father, a student, a working professional, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

It sure seems like life has gotten really busy for me recently but I love it all. I am a brand new father, who is going to school and working at the same time. I love providing for my lovely wife and our son. Preparing to have a child come into our lives sure has made life hectic but my wife and I try not to miss an opportunity to have fun. I love trying new things and having new experiences. Sometimes they make me feel uncomfortable but they allow me to stretch. I love my family and my in-laws and really enjoy having a good time with them also.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the Church but wasn't always perfect in following it's teachings. I am glad to have had parents that could steer me in the right direction and keep me pointed where I needed to be going even when I wasn't perfectly following the Church's doctrine. When I was 14 I remember very distinctly being challenged to find out from the Spirit if the Church was true or not. I remember reading my scriptures that night and getting on my knees to ask it the Church was true. I told myself that I would not get up off my knees until I had received an answer. I didn't know how the answer would come but I did know that I would get an answer. As I talked with my Heavenly Father I remember a still small and comforting voice telling me that it was true and that I needed to following the Church's teachings in order to have happiness. That is when I considered myself a converted member of the church. Sure I still made and make mistakes but I strive everyday to do what is right. I love the community that the Church brings to my life. I love the focus on the family and I love the ward family that I am a part of by being a member of the Church. I know that at any moment there are many people at church that I could call on for help. The only reason that I am truly a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is because I know that it is the only way that I can return to live with my Heavenly Father. The only way that I can be with my wife forever, and the only way that I can receive a remission for my sins and be worthy to be in the presence of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I love that the Spirit can manifest the truth of anything to me and that all I have to do is get on my knees in prayer and ask and I can know the truth of all things. Many times in my life I have had to rely on the Spirit for guidance and protection. Life has not been an easy road for me, but the Church, Gospel and my faith has helped to to thrive.

How I live my faith

Every day I do my best to look for opportunities to be like my Savoir, Jesus Christ. Some days I am given an opportunity to help push someone's broken down car, or shovel snow off a neighbors driveway, or help someone move. I love giving service and the feeling that I get when I do something that allows me to show my faith and standards. I also love spending time with people. Sharing life stories, enjoying lessons learned and talking about how our pasts have taught us what we want for the future. With the world around us changing as fast as it is and forgetting it's morals and standards it is important for me to share mine and hear how others feel. By communicating we are able to help one another where we lack and stand together on important issues.
