Hi I'm Erin

I love learning about God and his children all over the world. I love serving others. And, you've guessed it, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I’m an Eagle Scout. I love the outdoors; camping, hiking, swimming, and whatever else gets me out into nature. To explore my artistic side I enjoy dancing and cooking among other things. I’m a student of life and I love learning. And yep, you guessed it, I’m a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the gospel by a loving single mother. Aside from life itself the gospel is the greatest gift she has given me. More importantly, I’m a Mormon not because someone taught me and raised me that way, but because God witnessed to me, through the power of the Holy Ghost, that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true and is His Church here on the earth in this day. And so I choose to follow God’ plan of happiness for me because I want to live with Him again and receive the gift of Eternal Life.

How I live my faith

It is difficult to say just how I live my faith. It is because of my faith that I am able to live my life the way I do. I love the gospel; it permeates every aspect of my life. I love God and I love all of his children, and I love to serve them to the best of my abilities.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

As an Eagle Scout I have learned first-hand the value and wisdom in the counsel to "be prepared." Furthermore, I have lived long enough to realize that life throws at you all sorts of unexpected things. The more prepared I am for whatever may come, whether it is unemployment, the sudden loss of a loved one, or a natural disaster, the more I am in a better position to handle the situation in a positive way and help others too.
