Hi I'm Ron

I'm madly in love with my wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I met Sweet Pam in Bogota, Colombia, where we were both missionaries for the LDS Church. We have five grown children, and four--soon to be five--grandchildren. I don't get much sports activity any more, but I played competitive volleyball for about 25 years until my vertical leap disappeared completely. These days, I get my exercise teaching map and compass, and the sport of orienteering, to Boy Scouts. I like to dabble in the kitchen, mostly breakfasts and desserts.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, with wonderful parents who taught us to work and to serve. I learned for myself, by the power of the Holy Ghost, that the gospel of Jesus Christ is here on earth, that the Lord Himself guides it today through living prophets, and that His atonement cleanses human hearts. I know Jesus Christ is the living Son of God. I am a witness that He loves each one of us.

How I live my faith

I try to pattern my own example to my children after my parents' example to me. I love the Bible and the Book of Mormon, because from them I learn to follow my Savior. I really enjoy teaching the gospel.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

I love the Bible. It teaches the Savior's gospel so simply, then explains a great many things about the Lord's love for us. I especially thrill to biblical examples, in both the old and new testaments, of how living Divine standards brings peace. Show more Show less
